Our Pastor
Elder David Watts was born in California, lived there since 1961 -2007. In 1981, he and his wife of two months received the Holy Ghost and were baptized in Jesus' name in Fresno, California. They and their four children attended Truth Tabernacle, Elder V.R. Morton's church in Fresno until 1992, when God called him to begin working in a home missions church. He has pastored two churches in Northern California, has been involved in Home Missions and served as board member Presbyter of a national church organization.
In 2007, the company that Elder Watts is employed by, outside of the ministry, came to him and asked if he and his wife would take a trip out to Texas to see the new addition to the company and they did. Upon their return to California, both he and his wife felt the tug that God placed in both of their hearts for the small community that they had just seen and through much prayer and careful consideration, Elder & Sister Watts, along with their family determined it was the will of God for them to relocate there and begin a ministry as well.
Rock Solid Apostolic Church was named after seeing the need for rock solid bible teaching. We exemplify the teachings of the Apostles as set forth by Jesus Christ himself and strive to live Christ like lives. Elder Watts vision and burden for Dalhart can be seen and felt through his ministry and his love for God.
Our Pastor's wife
Sister Watts was born in California, lived there since 1961-2007. She has stood by her husband's side throughout the years, in his ministry and shares his burden to bring the truth unto all the world, going into the highways and by ways, with the whole gospel and armor of God.
In 2007, Sister Watts began serving as Executive Director of a Senior Center, located within her community; she continues to be
involved within the community by serving as Blood Bank Council Coordinator, as well as serving as Pastoral Secretary/ Treasurer and teacher.
Sister Watts loves God, loves living for God, loves holiness, loves the Apostolic way, loves her husband, loves her children, loves her grand-daughter, loves the church family and loves to share the gospel with others. She is still excited about Eph. 4:5!
